Port Isabel Tarpons football season has come to an end as the Sweeny Bulldogs beat the Tarpons 36-21. It was a good back and forth game in the first half as the Tarpons went into halftime with the 21-15 lead. Runningback Omar Silva hurt his shoulder in the 2nd quarter and the offense couldn't produce another score in the second half. It was an exciting season to watch and a pleasure to watch Omar Silva break the 2,000 yard milestone. On a side note, this is the 3rd straight loss in the opening round of the playoffs. ESPN.com - "Castillo grew up in Port Isabel, Texas, a town in which everything hinged on high school football and the Dallas Cowboys. On Friday night, it shut down to watch the boys play. Castillo loved the way the town rallied around the team." More
